Objectives

To contribute towards and provide a gendered analysis of women's participation as members of civil society in human rights, peace and development initiatives
To enhance or develop the long-term relationships required to sustain the development of human rights awareness
To foster replicability of valid human rights, peace and sustainable development initiatives
To promote the advancement of a culture of peace through the development and implementation of initiatives that empower and involve individuals and communities
To facilitate networking, co-operation and co-ordination among individuals and grassroots NGOs in Africa
To facilitate collaboration with inter-governmental and international NGOs working in Africa or running programmes relevant to Africa
To advocate at the international level and make available mechanisms or opportunities through which our African partners can influence international policy-making
To provide long-term strategic programme and institutional support through training and capacity-building initiatives that empowers local, national and regional NGOs in Africa.
